Well this doesn't really have much to do with my braces. I was in a car accident last night. This guy came through the red light at like 50-60 MPH. It was crazy. I SAW him coming on my right side. It was like slow motion. I know if I saw him he HAD to see us. He just slammed right into us. I got us out of the car bc when he hit us I saw what i thought was smoke (the tow truck guy said it was steam but I didn't know that) and I heard this hissing sound. It was the air coming out of the tires. I didn't know that either at the time. I had this horrible mental picture of the car blowing up with us in it and I was NOT about to let that happen. When we walked over to his car of course I was freaking out and screaming. I had never been in that much pain before. the guy was trying to start his car. I honestly believe he was trying to LEAVE the scene of an accident. ugh So the cops come. The cop taking the report was NOT nice in ANY way shape or form. This asshole almost killed part of my family. So of course I was upset. The cop called me names which pissed me off even more. In this town you don't want to report the cops bc they are :local" cops and then the rest of them will start giving you a hard time and I don't want that. So anyway the kid who hit us out right LIED to the cop. HE LIED. It was like one of those things you only see in movies. Where he is the ONLY one who thought the light was green. How do you just out right LIE to the police. I just don't get it. The guy LIED. So now we must wait and see what the police report says and the ins. company and all that. I'm still a bit sore but right now I can move my arms and legs. Last ngith I couldn't move my right arm above my shoulder. The paramedic (i guess thats what he was. There were so many trucks there) asked me more than once if I was in the front seat bc of how crushed in the side was. I went out and looked at the car today in the daylight and I myself am shocked that I walked away from that. I am just still stuck on the guy LYING to the cops. I just don't get it. He could have killed us. i guess that's why he lied. *sigh*
On another painful note. I get my upper braces on tomorrow so this week will just be my pain week. *sigh*
